This website is the home of composer Kevin Ott who releases indie pop under the name Wobbly Cat, indie rock under the name Tell Me Your Tale, and an eclectic range of genres -- everything from symphonic instrumental and jazz to alternative rock and Tron-inspired electronica -- under his own name. The site is also home to Kevin's blog and writing pursuits such as his 2016 non-fiction book about C. S. Lewis and U2 called Shadowlands and Songs of Light. In regards to his various artist names and genres, the artist name Wobbly Cat is a tribute to the wobbly cats at the Friends of Felines Rescue Center in Defiance, Ohio ,and the songs depict life at the rescue center from the perspective of the many wobbly cats (wobbly because of physical and medical challenges) who live there and are viewable on the rescue center's live stream on YouTube. The artist name Tell Me Your Tale is a tribute to the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien and comes from a line spoken by Treebeard in The Two Towers book. These songs -- in an indie rock style (with a dash of '90s alternative rock bands such as Alice In Chains, STP, and Soundgarden) -- all center around themes, stories, or characters from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and other Tolkien books such as The Silmarillion.
